International Cultic Studies Association (ICSA)

Founded in 1979, International Cultic Studies Association is a global network of people concerned about psychological manipulation and abuse in cultic or high-demand groups, alternative movements, and other environments. 

ICSA is tax-exempt, supports civil liberties, and is not affiliated with any religious or commercial organizations.

Our Mission:
-Help victims of psychological abuse in cultic environments and extreme belief systems
-Provide guidance and support to families of those impacted by cults and extremists groups
-Educate the public about cultic trauma, psychological coercion, and the impact of extreme beliefs
-Encourage, support, and conduct research in these fields
-Educate helping professionals about cultic abuse and the impact of extreme belief systems
-Address the distinct needs of people born or raised in cults or cultic relationships or extreme belief systems
