Pluto is a sonically rich and masterfully-crafted album that underlines Maja Lena’s increasingly respected position as both songwriter and sound artist. The icy, electronic soundscapes of 1980s Japanese cinema and video game music - particularly that of Joe Hisaishi of Studio Ghibli  - have been a key touchstone.
