Markham Arts Council

The Markham Arts Council was originally started with a mission to serve and enhance our community’s well being by providing arts and cultural education and awareness while supporting the work and development of visual, literary and performing artists. The Arts Council works in tandem with a number of local community organization to introduce and improve the lives of local residents by the inclusion of art in their routine. Over the years, the Arts Council has worked on collaborative projects and initiatives by providing emerging and established artists with opportunities to grow and learn. Our aim is to build a stronger, more diverse yet unified arts community that encompasses literary arts, experimental art, visual arts, new media, music, dance, performance and dramatic arts.
