Whidbey Island Conservation District

As the Whidbey Island Conservation District, we work to inspire voluntary conservation practices and assist in the management of natural resources on and around our island through education, outreach, technical, and financial assistance - for the benefit of present and future generations. ​We are a designated special purpose district under RCW 89.08, and our service area includes the residents and landowners of Whidbey Island. We are locally led and guided by the needs of the public, and are part of a network of 45 conservation districts ​that serve Washington's 39 counties. Better ground means taking important stewardship actions at home and in our communities to create healthy soil and water, to provide healthy food, and to conserve land, water, forests, wildlife and related natural resources.
