Spirit of 2012

Spirit of 2012 is a funding charity, established with a £47m endowment from the Big Lottery Fund.

Spirit was founded to continue and recreate the spirit of pride, positivity and social connectedness that people experienced during the London 2012 Games. Our projects divide into 3 categories:
1) Active: Providing opportunities for people to become more physically active.
2) Creative: Providing opportunities through arts and cultural experiences
3) Connected: Providing opportunities for people to come together as equals

In total we have awarded £29.5 million to 36 projects across the UK which have reached 2.7 million people and trained, deployed and supported 25,000 volunteers.
