US Federal Chaplains Agency (EMERGENCY RESPONSE)

USFEDERALCHAPLAINSAG ENCY.ORG
A chaplain is a person who, as an ambassador of love, peace, justice and the grace of God, accompany people on their pilgrimage through this world. We pay close attention to the sorrows, to the most intimate secrets, to the deepest wishes, fears, hopes, joys, achievements, failures and plans of those people who request our help. A chaplain is a professional individual trained to listen carefully, without judgment, without condemning the people's stories, but at the same time, helping them to examine their stories with a reflective lens of a typical person created in the image of God. Furthermore, the chaplain must recognize the dignity, respect and value of each human being and committing ourself to do everything in our power to help people live and die in peace with God.
