Christchurch Vegan Society

The Christchurch Vegan Society/Te Rōpū Whēkana o Ōtautahi is a registered charity that exists to support everyone within the Ōtautahi/Christchurch and wider community following, or interested in, a vegan lifestyle.

We have operated since 2002, running events such as the Vegan Night Mākete, the Vegan Expo, Vegan Camp, the Vegan Ball, restaurant meals, vegan potlucks, film nights and more. Groups we have run over the years include Team Vegan, Rainbow Veggie Community, Youth Group, and the Veggie Families Group. We also offer talks to schools, community groups and advocate for our community whenever possible.
