Awen Robbe

Awen Robbe is a young eclectic French trumpeter and composer. He is not only a versatile musician, but also a passionate advocate of Breton music and jazz. He was immersed in music from an early age (particularly jazz and the folklore of his region) thanks to his father, a jazz pianist, and began playing trumpet at the age of 7. Awen innovates, collaborates with artists, internationally, and from different backgrounds. In his early teens, he linked with New Orleans; he met Kirk Joseph, a world-renowned musician from NOLA, with whom he played in a short-lived Brass Band at the Vannes Jazz Festival. It's a revelation. It's from this experience that he decided to take part in tomorrow's jazz innovation. Whether on stage, in the studio, or collaborating and forging links with names in the field, he retains his musical diversification and eclecticism, to which he adds what was transmitted to him.
