Citrus Chapter Florida Native Plant Society

Citrus Chapter joins together people with a shared enthusiasm for Florida's native plants, works to protect them in their natural environment, and educates on their use in modern landscapes. Homeowners using native plants reduce development's footprint, protect our watersheds by reducing or eliminating the use of chemical treatments while also conserving water, and provide suitable habitat for wildlife. Anyone with an interest in native plants is invited to join us.

Since our inception in 2001, we have had plant rescues, nature walks, created and sponsored public native gardens, spoken to community groups, held native plant sales, donated and planted trees throughout the county, toured native plant nurseries and more.

We are a non-profit chapter of The Florida Native Plant Society, serving Citrus County and the adjacent area. Our Mission is the preservation, conservation, & restoration of native plants & plant communities. Meeting info is at our website. Join at: FNPS.org
