Well Done Foundation

the Well Done Foundation, an unprecedented conservation NGO that identifies and plugs orphaned oil and gas wells that emit thousands of metric tonnes of CO2 and methane into the atmosphere. One open well can emit as much methane annually as 1,000+ cars. This must be stopped.

There are 3.2 million orphaned wells in the US. Once a well is plugged, it stops polluting immediately.

The WDF has established a strategic partnership among regulators, surface owners and adoptive parties, leading to a safe and seamless system that provides cost-effective and lasting results that improve the environment while working with the industry in a transparent structure that delivers value to its Triple Bottom Line: community partnerships (people), environmental responsibility (planet), and economic benefits (profit).

One well at a time.
