CPAWS Southern Alberta

The Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society (CPAWS) is Canada's voice for the wilderness. Our focus for the Southern Alberta chapter is to identify and protect large, precious wilderness areas in Alberta so our water remains clean, our native plants and animals can thrive, and people have a place to get away from the daily grind and recharge.We have worked with others to protect Kananaskis by Banff, and the Whaleback and Castle Wilderness in southwest Alberta. As if that isn't enough, we also ensure decision-makers put nature first in our provincial and national parks, AND we have been offering environmental education programs since 1997.
