Sonyeo Pop

Sonyeo Pop isn't about replicating the familiar. This collective, formed by key members American Koreans Yuna, Jisoo, Seoyeon, Minji & Soo-jin, and the Jamaica-born Kiesha, with several other key collaborators, defies expectations with their unapologetic embrace of their identities and influences.

Their sound is intentionally diverse. Trip-hop's atmospheric layers weave with the vibes of dancehall, K-pop, house, folk and rock, creating a sonic world that is both seductive and powerful. This fusion is the backdrop for Sonyeo Pop's message of lesbian love and lifestyle, in a country that has trouble accepting differences, self-acceptance and LGBTQI+ celebration.

Sonyeo Pop stands out with their fearless musical spirit. They experiment, play, and create soundscapes that push the boundaries of K-Pop. If you're looking for something fresh, something undeniably authentic, Sonyeo Pop is a sonic revelation waiting to be discovered.
