The Free State of Bavaria established its first overseas representation in 1988 – in Tokyo, Japan. It hereby demonstrated its commitment to serve and assist the worlds 4th largest economy in doing business with Bavaria, the largest and most successful and thriving of the German states. The representation is a key contact point for Japanese investors in the European market as well as for Bavarian companies and organizations who want to partner or cooperate with Japanese counterparts.
