The Actionable Knowledge Foundational Institute (AKFI). Digital transformation is a key focus for companies, with many investing heavily in technology and automation to improve efficiency, productivity, and competitiveness. However, as companies continue to embrace digital transformation, there is a growing gap between this shift and the focus on environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and sustainability.
ESG and sustainability are becoming increasingly important for companies, as consumers and investors demand greater transparency and accountability from businesses. 
This is partly because digital transformation is often seen as a technical or operational issue, whereas ESG and sustainability are viewed as more of a strategic or corporate responsibility issue. 

To bridge this gap, we need to view digital transformation as a strategic opportunity to create value for both business and society. This means incorporating ESG and sustainability into the planning, and design.
