Mauka

Hailing from Dallas, TX, Mauka is a musical project put together by Zack Bryant, a poet, musician, and producer who wants to spread his music to any open ears. His musical journey started at 14 years old, playing in a punk band throughout his teens, learning to find his voice and craft his sound. He has since added guitar, drums, and piano to his repertoire, allowing him to harness a flexible, diverse approach to his songs. Mixing punk rock roots with folk and ambient influences, he delivers music that is deep, melodic, and easy to find yourself singing along to.

While the music keeps your head bobbing, the lyrics are where listeners will find Zack's true depth. Speaking from the heart, Zack delves into topics such as mental illness, hopelessness, and the decaying state of the world, along with the profound impact these topics have had on him. He also explores the concepts of love and heartache, and the deep impression people can leave on one another.
