Dirt Road Theater

Dirt Road Theater is a theater production company and education program based in Northfield, Vermont. It is run by Maren Langdon Spillane and Dominic Spillane, two local theater artists and educators. We believe that adults, kids, and everyone in between deserves to create and enjoy stories that challenge, inspire, and entertain. When it comes to education, we believe passionately in giving young actors a safe and invigorating space to explore their skills and ideas. 

Dirt Road Theater is also committed to exploring the relationship between live in-person storytelling and digital presentations. Our flagship experiment of this hybrid performance model is our new episodic fairy tale for humans of all ages, "Fairies and Dragons, Ponies and Knights". During Season 1, each episode performs live on Zoom before being released as a podcast. Season 2 will feature live in-person performances as well.
