HIV Care and ART Tracking System Nepal

Videos on this channel introduce you to the recording and reporting of HIV-data using HIV Care and ART Tracking  (DHIS2 Tracker, mHealth and Biometric) System. The system is based on the DHIS2 tracker platform developed to record all the information of clients or patients receiving HIV-related services (HIV testing and treatment) in Nepal. This system is inter-linked with Biometric System for scanning the fingerprint of clients, which makes it easier to determine whether the client is new or already registered in the system, and thereby retrieve and add information instantly. The Biometric System also helps avoid the issue of double-counting clients in other facilities, and link medical records with biometric (fingerprints) information of the client. This system can also be used to send text messages (SMS) to the mobile phone of the patient to improve retention in HIV care.
