Amanda Newell: Learn Impressionist Photography

Welcome, 

I’m Amanda Newell, the creative behind The Photographic Artisan. 

I’m passionate about artistic photography techniques - intentional camera movement and multiple exposures particularly. 

My creative practice is the culmination of my passion for exploring connection in all things. I’m an ex-allied health care professional, movement specialist, and hold an MA in Anthrozoology (human, animal, and environmental interactions from an anthropological perspective), among other interests.

During illness, I found solace in creative camera work, eventually integrating my photography into everything I know and love.

I now practice my own embodied camera movement technique and use Photoshop to explore the artistry of expression—capturing time, place, connection, feeling, and experience.

I share my work for those drawn to slow art, quiet wonder, and deeper connection through a lens.
