Poverty Reduction Forum Trust

The broad objective of the PRFT is to conduct poverty related research and promote evidence based policy formulation and dialogue between civil society, development partners and policy makers on issues of sustainable poverty reduction and human development.
The specific objectives are;
To conduct policy research to influence the formulation and implementation of pro-poor socio-economic policies in the country that are guided by the human development paradigm which puts people at the centre of the development process;
To compile a home grown PRFT flagship publication on poverty tracking different themes to sensitize policy makers including producing popular versions of the reports in the form of newsletters, brochures etc;
To mobilize civil society to participate actively in pro-poor policy formulation processes, policy implementation and monitoring and evaluation of the impact of such policies.
