Science Teachers Association of Texas

The Science Teachers Association of Texas (STAT) connects and inspires science educators through professional development, networking, advocacy, and its signature annual event, the Conference for the Advancement of Science Teaching (CAST). CAST is attended by nearly 6,000 science educators and advocates each year.

Formally organized in 1957, STAT serves science educators of all disciplines and grade levels, including elementary education, environmental science, earth science, biology, chemistry, informal science, and physics in K–12, university, and informal settings.
