Professor Rob H. Bisseling, Utrecht University

This channel presents a series of videos accompanying the book Parallel Scientific Computation: A Structured Approach Using BSP, Second Edition, by Rob H. Bisseling, Oxford University Press, 2020.

The videos are based on my course Parallel Algorithms which I have given for many years at Utrecht University in the Netherlands, where I am a full professor in scientific computing.

I cover the theory of parallel algorithms for various computations, such as computing inner products, sorting, linear system solving, Fast Fourier transforms, sparse matrix-vector multiplication, and graph matching.

Each video has a length of 10-20 minutes, and contains an interactive question in the middle and a final (homework) question.

An expanded set of slides, solutions to the homework questions, and software accompanying the book can all be found on my personal book page:
