Shiba Fanciers of Northern California

Formed in 1998, the purpose of the Shiba Inu Fanciers of Northern California (SFNC) is to protect and advance the interests of the AKC registered Shiba Inu in the San Francisco Bay Area. SFNC is a member club of the National Shiba Club of America (NSCA) and and licensed by the AKC.

SFNC has sponsored and participated in many different public educational activities throughout the Bay Area. This includes hosting our annual Shiba Party picnic that we've put on for over 20 years, an breed educational booth at both the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival located in San Francisco and the Cupertino Cherry Blossom Festival; each for over a decade, and have provided public education at the Golden Gate Kennel Club's benched dog show at the Cow Palace in Daly City for 10+ years. We also have our own rescue fund and support Shiba rescue here in California and Northern Nevada. We put on two Shiba Specialty shows each year and have hosted the Shiba Nationals for our parent club, NSCA
