Cynthia Wood Spinner

Cynthia Wood Spinner is the business for the fiber arts tools I, Cynthia D. Haney, make. I am an artisan wood turner. Hand turned top whorl drop spindles for spinning yarn are my specialty. Each spindle is a unique with a hand bent and hammered copper hook, individually turned and decorated shaft, and a whorl precision turned. I sign, date, mark the weight, and number each spindle. I take the same care with my bottom whorl spindles which can be spun supported or suspended.
I also turn and hand carve crochet hooks. I make are nostepinne for hand winding center pull balls of yarn, a relaxing and productive activity. Niddy-noddy for making even skeins or hanks of yarn. Along with many other fiber art tools.
I am passionate about teaching people how to use these tools. I offer classes and workshops, both in person and virtual, along with these videos.
