San Miguel is a Cuban artist, composer and producer. He is widely regarded as one of the leading voices of the Cuban tres—the emblematic guitar at the heart of the nation’s traditional music.
Over the years, he has earned critical acclaim, including a Grammy nomination and two Cubadisco Awards—recognition that underscores his role as both a guardian of tradition and an artist of contemporary vision.
Now based in Los Angeles, the singer-songwriter explores with nuance a new creative direction; blending the musical lineage of 1950's Cuban Salsa and mambo with modern tropical rhythms.
San Miguel has collaborated with internationally recognized artists, including Óscar D’ León, Andy García, Arturo Sandoval, Manu Chao, and Michael Bublé, and he performs as the lead guitarist with Men At Work.
