Bejo Zaden B. V. is an international company actively engaged in the selection, production, processing and sale of high-quality seeds for growing vegetables.
The history of the company began in 1899, when the grocer Jacob Jong (Jacob Jong) decided to go into the seed business. In 1912, the son of a baker, Cor Beemsterbur, came up with the same idea. In the 1960s, the families joined forces to work together in the field of hybridization, and in 1978 they created a single company, which was named Bejo Zaden (Bejo is the initial letters of the founders ' surnames, and zaden in Dutch is seeds).
Currently, Bejo has more than 1,200 varieties of fifty vegetable crops in more than 30 countries and 1,900 employees worldwide.
