Jazz Steps Nottingham

Based on Nottingham, UK, Jazz Steps is a premier regional jazz promotor For well over 20 years, appreciative audiences have enjoyed wonderful gigs from contemporary jazz artists who perform at great venues in Nottingham and across the county.

On this Channel you will find videos of artists who have performed at the Bonington Theatre (our 'home base'), at various library venues (as part of our partnership with Inspire) and in association with local music venues (including Peggy's Skylight and Metronome).

Jazz Steps embodies the spirit of improvisation, inventiveness and collaboration that is integral to jazz. Volunteer-run & not-for-profit, its core aim is to bring the best of contemporary jazz to local audiences. We are part of East Midlands Jazz (EMJAZZ) a collective of regional promotors supported by Arts Council England. As such, we also engage in jazz education projects, nurture emerging talent, foster jazz appreciation and develop new audiences and partnerships.
