Voices in the Garden

Readings and reasonings on the Christian life, seasoned with autobiography. I am in recovery from numerous habits. Complex trauma will have more of my attention too. I need to work harder, more focus on that, especially as it relates to my life with God.

The title of my channel is taken from the experience of Adam and Eve as they talked with God in the garden after their sin. What are we hearing and saying in the garden with God as he speaks to us of our shame and healing?

They heard the sound of the Lord God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the Lord God among the trees of the garden. Then the Lord God called to the man, and said to him, “Where are you?” He said, “I heard the sound of You in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid myself.” And He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree of which I commanded you not to eat?”
