Mahogany-N- Motion

“When asked in 1990, at the age of 23, to establish a dance line for the historical Morehouse College Marching Band, (that would be supported by the young ladies of Spelman College) I was thrilled at the opportunity, but did not mentally encompass the depth of the legacy that was birthed”

Mahogany-N-Motion was envisioned and designed to be a PREMIER dance team whose style combines jazz and ballet technique with a personal charisma of its own. The dance style would most likely be imitated by admirers; but the essence of Mahogany-N-Motion was crafted so it could not be duplicated. Mahogany-N-Motion, ladies of all hue of color; dancers moving majestically, brilliantly and radiantly exemplifying the beauty of the black woman in motion (dance). Today, the world knows this dance team as Morehouse’s Mahogany-N-Motion!
