By Design with DeDe Dessau, MSW

I'm DeDe Dessau, MSW.
I spent 30 years sitting with people through some of the hardest moments of their lives. These days, I run an Ayurvedic wellness practice — but the question underneath both careers has stayed the same: what actually helps a person stay steady when life doesn't cooperate?

Welcome to By Design — this channel is about designing your response to life. Whatever it hands you.
Here's what you'll find here:
🧭 Second Half of Life — aging, being single, grief, mental health and anxiety, talked about honestly
📰 Hard Headlines, Held Gently — world events, without doom-scroll spiral
🌿 The Toolkit — Ayurveda, herbs and teas, supplements, skincare, self-care — what I actually use, not what's trending
🔍 Trauma-Informed True Crime & Domestic Violence — covered through a social work lens
✨ The Edges — spirituality, sound healing, UFOs and UAPs — approached with curiosity

No performative positivity, no fear-mongering — just what actually helps a person hold together.
