Dark History Tours & Experiences

Dark History Tour & Experiences offer exceptional small group or private walking tours. Based in the beautiful capital of Bavaria - Munich - the day tours we offer focus on archaeology, military and medieval history as well as 20th century German history.

Here you will find original content which reflects the above, as well as practical advice on Bavarian culture, language and food and drink.

Dark History is run by British archaeologist Taff Simon. Born in Wales, I studied in Winchester, graduating in 1999 with a thesis which focused on the archaeology of the Atlantic Wall. I have excavated widely in the UK and Germany on sites as diverse as Neolithic settlements, Hadrian's Wall, Medieval cemeteries and WW2 aircraft. I moved to Bavaria in 2008 and divide my time between excavation and running tours.

Whether you need a guide for your family and kid friendly tour, for that college group, your corporate entertainment, we can do it.
