The Vintage Runner

I'm a maturing (i.e. old but in denial) runner, occasional jumper, and thrower.  I'm almost 60 - I know now why people talk of a second childhood, when you're young you tend to look to the year ahead, almost claiming the age that is coming up.  As you grow up you claim your age (or maybe a younger one).  Once you're competing in the Masters setup, with its 5-year age bands, I find I'm increasingly referring to my upcoming age to explain away my performance decline over the years :-)

I returned to running a few years back after giving up on leaving school.  It's great fun, I'd love to see more people keep doing athletics.  So if anything on this channel inspires anyone to get off the couch and back onto the track then I've succeeded.  In addition, it helps me to look back at videos of stuff gone by to help me train and improve.
