ReFLEX Orkney

ReFLEX Orkney aims to decarbonize the three main areas of energy use in Orkney – heat, transport and electricity – by digitally linking 100% renewable energy with demand and storage into a flexible integrated energy system.

We can help reduce your carbon footprint by rethinking how you use energy for heating, transport and electricity—whether for your home or for your business—and offer integrative options supported by proven, affordable technology.

About the ReFLEX Project:

ReFLEX (Responsive Flexibility) Orkney is a £28.5 million project aiming to create an Integrated Energy System (IES) in Orkney, Scotland. The project is funded by UKRI through the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund.

The project will interlink local electricity, transport, and heat networks into one controllable, overarching system, digitally link distributed and intermittent renewable generation to flexible demand.
