Cashbox Music Survey Record Countdown

Once a week we will be presenting the record countdown according to "Cashbox Magazine". The record chart began in October 1944. The reason I chose "Cashbox" instead of "Billboard" is because it ranked songs rather than individual records. For example, a song on "Billboard" might rank four times by four different artists while on "Cashbox" it will only rank one time. I do try to choose the most popular version of a song. I do my best to find the version that was popular at the time the chart was published. This is very difficult for lower ranking songs and as a result I use my own discretion to have it sound correct to the era. I do try to limit "poetic license" as much as I can.  If a song is rejected due to copyright it will be muted by YouTube. Any ads you see on this channel are not placed there by me. I make no money from YouTube.
