My Year Without Cancer

On December 31, 2019, I opened an email from my doctor that said "cancer" next to "conditions treated." Two days later, my doctor told me that an MRI I had was clear, and I did not have cancer. Those two days changed my life, and now I'm looking to make a creative project documenting how I want to live 2020 in a better, more complete way.

In particular, the project will document my progress toward three main goals:

1. Truly experiencing and enjoying California for the first time since moving here in the summer of 2019
2. Taking care of my body, in my 30s, I have lost and gained 100 pounds. I am out of shape. I am vegan, but I do not eat well.
3. I am trying to expand my horizons and push myself creatively. This project is part of that. I am taking singing lessons, and I'm looking to document my creative push.
