Welcome to my channel!

To me, a nuthatch at a bird feeder or a woodpecker at a nesting cavity is as exciting as a grizzly bear in the mountains. Through my photography and writing, I hope to inspire a love of--and appreciation for--those creatures that might be seen as "ordinary." To me, all creatures are EXTRAORDINARY! 

I am a Canadian bird biologist, nature writer, wildlife photographer, environmental educator, kayaker and I love backroad adventures. Come along with me as I go on exciting adventures to photograph birds, bears, caribou and other wildlife. I delight in discovering the magic that can be found right in my own backyard as well as in and around the wetlands and forests of western Canada. As a Fellow and newly appointed Travel Ambassador with the Royal Canadian Geographical Society, I will soon be sharing adventures from farther afield as well.
