NORTHV

EDM/Bass music producer from Helsinki, Finland.

Energetic, intense and larger-than-life, the music of NorthV gathers diverse influences from poppy melodies, cinematic backdrops, driving bass and pinches of atmospherics from Synthwave. The inspiration is drawn from the diverse background of the artist. As with many musical Finns, the musical origins of NorthV are in hard rock and metal, starting as a guitarist/songwriter in the local metal band Kilgrin 10 years ago. From there the path took first to playing as a freelance blues/rock guitarist and bassist in local bars, then to rhythm guitar duties in Hard Rock band PLANISTRY. After exiting Planistry in 2018, half-joking Synthwave artist Angst Athens was born, which soon enough turned into musically too serious for the comedic name. Thus, NorthV was born to infuse everything together, making independent and non-compromising music the artist himself wants to hear in the Finnish music scene.
