Queens United Chess

Queens United Chess is a student-run 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to bridging the gender divide through female-led introductory chess lessons, club meetings, and tournaments.

Since 2019, our 35+ female instructors have directly impacted over 550+ youth across Chicago. We co-developed the CPS Chess Queens program with Chicago Public Schools, hosted several tournaments alongside the Chicago Chess Foundation, and were recently nominated for Chess.com’s ChessKid 2022 Annual Awards as Philanthropy Group of the Year.
