Ohman School of Ballet

Located on Long Island, The Frank Ohman School of Ballet was founded in 1979 by Frank Ohman, former soloist at New York City Ballet (NYCB) and is one of the few remaining direct links to the teaching of George Balanchine.

Our mission is to educate students and parents of how the art of ballet was expressed in the tradition of George Balanchine. Applying principals from Balanchine's core Vagonava training to his Neoclassical tradition of ballet, we teach this art correctly, and safely, in the context of theatrical expression.
