Saint Joseph Sanctuary in Apucarana

The Saint Joseph Sanctuary Parish was created on February 22, 1960, by the diocesan bishop of Londrina, Dom Geraldo Fernandes. In May 2001, the Parish was elevated to Sanctuary with a decree signed by Bishop Dom Domingos Gabriel Wisniewski, with Father Sérgio José de Souza being parish priest on this occasion. The elevation party, however, took place on March 18, with the presence of Dom Domingos, the Provincial and other priests. The bishop proceeded with the blessing and installation of the new Sanctuary, the first in Brazil with the title of "São José". Today, the Sanctuary also receives pilgrimages from pilgrims from different parts of Brazil, and also for the festivities of the Congregation of the Oblates of Saint Joseph held on several occasions, currently having Fr. Antônio Luiz, OSJ and as vicars Fr. João Batista, OSJ and Fr. Bertolin, OSJ.
"Show us, Joseph, the way, support us at every step, lead us to where Divine Providence wants us to go." Saint Joseph Marello.
