First booked by Talib Kweli (Billboard), the RapOet climbed to #2 on the Indie Hip-Hop Top 40 Charts with "Manhattan Night" (ft. Dreamville's Mez Davis). Lauded by MTV, NPR, & The NY Times, he's taught artists to break writer's block & master creativity at Yale, Trinity, & many more, freestyled live off the dome on Netflix, Hot93.7, etc., and headlined the International Hip-Hop Fest.

Since turning down a Def Jam deal in favor of college, he's rocked stages with everyone from Alice Walker (Pulitzer), to The Last Poets, to luminaries Joyner Lucas, KRS-1, and Common (Grammy). Fans of Tribe Called Quest, J. Cole, & MF Doom put 4 of RapOet's songs in Spotify's Top 5% most streamed, including the Jazz Hip-Hop playlist favorite "Aware (Chapter 12)". Khaiim's positive use of Hip-Hop was even awarded by Obama's White House, and led to the City of Hartford (CT) instating him as America's first ever Hip-Hop Troubador.
