There’s nowhere else on the planet like the Great Barrier Reef. It’s one of the most complex, breathtaking ecosystems that exists. We lead a global effort to preserve and protect it.

We've provided world-leading marine park management since 1975. Our remit is broad. We are Marine Park stewards, compliance officers, community educators, government advisors, data analysts, strategic, science-led managers and fearless advocates for the Reef. 

We are proud to protect and preserve 2,300kms, 3,000 individual reefs, 16,000 species of plants and animals, and 64,000 jobs.
