In 2026 there exists still only recycling of CERTAIN fractions of plastic waste at CERTAIN central places. But what is necessary is a solution for ALL sorts of plastic at ALL places.
An economic center like Saigon recycles 64 % of PET bottles, Hanoi 47 %. A bottle of water is quickly emptied, what means that in the second turn less than 40 % of them are recycled in a center like Saigon. Anyway less than 30 % of total plastic waste is recycled there. Everything else ends on landfills or in the ocean. This is why we develop methods to recycle those kinds of plastic which are not worth to be processed by the established system and we take recycling to rural areas, small towns, remote places, beaches, islands, mountains.
And we minimize emissions of microplastics. The moment we take away plastic from our waste, organic waste gets value to compost it. There is a good system for paper and metal in Vietnam. Glass and ceramic do not cause harm nature.
